Woodhaven Glass

Woodhaven Glass, located in Horse Shoe Gap Village just outside Hendersonville, was founded by a passionate glass blower with roots in Lower Manhattan. Inspired by a weekend glass blowing class in the mid-90s, the founder pursued the craft through years of dedicated practice, studying in various studios including Penland, NC, and in Little Italy, NY.

Upon retirement in Asheville, a decision was made to turn this pastime into a full-time venture, leading to the establishment of Woodhaven Glass in late August 2019. Named in nostalgic remembrance of Woodhaven, Queens, the store quickly gained popularity, prompting the expansion to include a modern glass blowing studio housed in a converted late 1800s corn crib.

Woodhaven Glass is committed to sharing the art of glass blowing with the local community, offering a safe and engaging environment to experience this unique craft.
