Join local historian Mary Jo Padgett as she explores the 7th Ave./Historic Train Depot District and discusses what this area of town was like during the Gilded Age of Hendersonville, when the train depot was a busy place and brought steam engines to town, and attracted drays, hustle, summer visitors, shoot-outs, candy stores and more. Meet at the front steps of Hendersonville City Hall, at the corner of 5th Ave E and King St, Hendersonville.
Mary Jo offers 4 different history walks to scheduled dates, all are 90+ minutes, rain or shine. See website for additional dates or to book a private tour. $10 per person age 10 and over | Children under 10 free with paying adult, Recommended to get tickets in advance, as space is limited — but Mary Jo does accept walk ups, provided there is room left in the tour.
