Live Music at Hubba Hubba Smokehouse
June 25 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Free
Each year on the last Sunday in June, The Episcopal Church of St. John in the Wilderness celebrates its patron saint with the Feast of St. John the Baptist. In 2021, the historic church extended the festivities outside the parish to the broader community and will do so again this year. For nearly 200 years, summers in Flat Rock have been a time to reconnect with God and each other. In that spirit, we invite old and new friends to join us for some delicious food and fun music.
We are especially excited to welcome Chatham Rabbits whose music captures so well a familiar slice of North Carolina living,” says the Rev. Josh Stephens who is rector of the historic parish. Guests should arrive early to get their food order in and find a seat. Yard games will be offered for children. Barbecue and other family-favorite foods and beverages will be available for purchase at Hubba Hubba Seating at the picturesque outdoor courtyard is limited, so guests are encouraged to bring portable chairs. Free, If rain spoils the outdoor fun, the concert will begin at 6:00pm inside the Parish Hall of the church and food will not be offered.
