Austin, Texas transplant, Peggy “Chanteuse” Ratusz and her Daddy LongLegs band have been voted “Best in Blues” for the past 12 years in a WNC reader’s poll.
She’s won regional Blues Challenge competitions, advancing her to the prestigious International Blues Challenge held in Memphis in the years 2008, 2010, and 2016.
This “ruby-throated” chanteuse has opened for Tedeschi-Trucks Band, Geoff Atchison, Danielle Nicole Band, Karen Lovely, Taj Mahal, and the Beach Boys. Bill has played
with many in our area – Mr. Jimmy, Todd Hoke, Ellen Trnka, Mare Carmody, and more. He plays a mean guitar and blows the harmonica as well as any bluesman.
Charlie Wilkinson plays bass and has played many venues in WNC and several artists such as Mr. Jimmy, Mare Carmody and several others! You’ll hear a mix of Swing, Motown, Old School R&B & Soul, and of course, Blues.
