An evening of original songs in the natural acoustics and listening room atmosphere of the beautiful and historic Brandy Bar featuring Kim Butler, Mare Carmody & THe Water Kickers. Kim Butler is a multi-instrumentalist playing fretless & fretted bass as well as electric & acoustic guitar. Kim Butler has performed with a variety of renowned Asheville-area performers including Will Ray, Mr. Jimmy, Peggy Ratusz, and Jason DeCristofaro, among others. An accomplished singer/songwriter as well, Kim has recently released a 5-song EP, “Kaleidoscope.”
Mare Carmody is a Virginia native who believes that life is indeed a song. Or many songs. Mare is currently part of the trio Carver Carmody & McIntire.
The Water Kickers, Folk/Rock Duo Brodie and Kelley Porterfield, combine intricate harmonies, heartfelt and emotional narratives, subtle rhythms, and sophisticated picking, making their music relatable, engaging, and sure to sway your hearts and bodies.
