Yarn Bombing Project

December 3, 2022 - March 30, 2023

Free
tree that is covered in crocheted items to be artistic

A Yarn Bombing is a type of graffiti or street art that employs colorful displays of knitted or crocheted yarn or fiber, rather than paint or chalk, bringing color to the world and joy to the community. Come see the wonderfully decorated, colorful yarn-covered lamp posts and CommuniTREES  along Maple St and & at the Historic Train Depot Plaza. This yarn bombing is meant to celebrate Hendersonville’s diverse community of colors, cultures, stories, artistic and agricultural heritage & our future.

Additionally, you are invited to bring new gloves, scarves, hats, and socks in a Ziploc bag to hang on trees for those in need during the winter months. This is a Community Foundation and STEAP project.
