DESCRIPTION:Join us at the WNC Agricultural Center on February 20 – February 21\, 2026 as thousands of model train enthusiasts and railfans are gathering in appreciation of the 1804 invention this winter. The expo will showcase all varieties of locomotive fanfare including several working model train layouts\, prototype equipment and artifacts\, testing and repair\, as well as a visit from Thomas the Tank Engine for tiny train buffs. Hundreds of vendors will be setting up stalls for visitors\, and there will also be raffles for the chance to win a variety of door prizes. Hours are Friday noon-6 p.m.\, Saturday 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; $10\, $5 for ages 11-18\, free for ages 10 and under; visit asheville-trainshow.com for more information.
