From 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. the Tsalagi Touring group will present activities on Cherokee history, arts, crafts, culture, dance and more. Interactive experiences will be offered throughout the day.

Event Schedule:

•From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cherokee craft demonstrations including finger weaving, bead work, pottery, woodcarving, basketry and weaponry.

At each table artisans will demonstrate a traditional craft and talk about it.

•Noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.: Cherokee Traditional Dances featuring 15 minutes of social dances.

•1 p.m. and 3 p.m.: Cherokee Storytelling.

Local crafts and Cherokee-inspired products will be available for purchase. Cash is advised due to unreliable internet service at the site.

FIND Outdoors, the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Tsalagi Touring Group and the Cherokee Historical Association are organizing the event.
