Intro to Falconry at Carolina Avian Research and Education

Falconry has been referred to as the “sport of kings”, an art form, and a technique for hunting that dates back to 2000 BC. Our Introduction to Falconry class will give an in-depth look at the history of falconry, some of the equipment used in falconry, and some of the techniques used in training these magnificent birds. Attendees will be able to meet several falconry birds up close and personal! This class is suitable for ages 14 and up.

Registration is required to attend all Carolina Avian Research and Education tours and classes. Please review the C.A.R.E visitation and class registration policies before purchasing.

Carolina Avian Research and Education – C.A.R.E. gives sanctuary to birds with special needs. Rare and endangered birds from around the world are studied here, and knowledge is shared with other avian facilities.
