The Hot Club of Asheville, is a collective of Asheville’s finest professional musicians, coming together with a shared love of Gypsy Jazz music. The band honors the traditional Gypsy Swing in the styles of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli from the 1930-50’s, while infusing the tradition with more modern qualities of jazz expression. The Hot Club of Asheville is unique as an instrumental band, holding the audience’s attention with classy melodic lines, vibrant improvisations and spirited rhythms.
