The From the Earth Festival takes place on April 25, 11 AM–6 PM at Lennox Station & Packa’s Place in Horse Shoe, NC. This day-long event brings together local makers, environmental education, and hands-on ways to engage thoughtfully with the natural world. A mini drop-in cyanotype workshop with Miranda Wildman runs from 2–5 PM at Packa’s Place (4210 Brevard Rd), where attendees can create one cyanotype print for $10, two for $15, or three for $20. No experience is needed, and all materials are provided. Prints can be purchased in advance or on-site, and Miranda will also have cyanotype prints and abstract landscape paintings for sale.

The festival features 50 eco-conscious vendors, native plants and garden starts, a native plant scavenger hunt along the @ecustatrail with prizes, live demos and skill-sharing on sustainable living, wildlife education and up-close animal encounters, live music, and local food and drinks. Attendees can also celebrate the Blue Ridge Artisan Market turning 3. Explore, connect, and leave inspired with new ideas — and maybe a few plants to take home.
