Celebrate part of your Fourth of July with the Apple Valley Model Railroad Club at the historic Hendersonville Depot, 650 Maple Street. The depot will be open from 10 to 2, with model trains of all sizes running for the whole family to enjoy. The Blue Ridge Southern Railroad will also be on site with one of their locomotives—your chance to get an up close look at a real giant of the rails. And don’t forget to visit the N scale club just across the tracks. Kids can also play with an operating Thomas the Tank Engine themed layout.
