Oktoberfest 2026 – AMB Mills River
Appalachian Mountain Brewery, known for great Oktoberfest celebration at its flagship location in Boone, brings this popular celebration to Mills River.
Oktoberfest at AMB’s Mills River Taproom & Kitchen takes place Saturday, Sept. 26, with a full day of German-inspired food, beer, live music and seasonal festivities.
Early arrivals can kick off the celebration with a complimentary Oktoberfest pint glass, available to the first 100 guests. Throughout the day, live music sets the soundtrack for the festivities, alongside Oktoberfest beers, Appalachian Mountain Brewery favorites and special drink and cocktail offerings.
The Mills River kitchen rolls out a special Oktoberfest menu inspired by traditional German fare and seasonal Appalachian ingredients, including:
- Bavarian Pretzel — served with beer cheese and Lusty Monk mustard
- Old World Fried Potato Pancakes — served with WNC apple butter and herb sour cream
- Beer-Braised Black Forest Bratwurst — braised in Helles and served with sweet-and-sour red cabbage, Lusty Monk mustard on a whole-wheat bun
- Chicken Schnitzel — served with mushroom beer gravy made with Hefeweizen and sweet-and-sour braised cabbage
- Apple Strudel — served with caramel apple sauce and powdered sugar
The Mills River celebration is part of Appalachian Mountain Brewery’s 2026 Oktoberfest festivities across its locations. Guests are encouraged to gather friends, grab a stein and enjoy a full day of Oktoberfest festivities at AMB Mills River Taproom & Kitchen.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and admission is free.
