Backline at Fletcher Feed and Seed

October 17 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Event Series (See All)
Free

The Blue Ridge Music Trails of North Carolina, the Jazz Foundation of America, and the historic Fletcher Feed and Seed in Fletcher, NC, will present a free concert on Saturday, October 17, from 7 pm-9 pm, featuring Backline, a five-piece bluegrass band hailing from the Carolinas.

The historic music hall, located at 3715 Hendersonville Road, Fletcher, has been a staple of traditional Western North Carolina music for more than 2 decades, serving as a music, gathering, and community space. The non-alcoholic venue is a great place for families to enjoy traditional music.

Backline plays contemporary and modern bluegrass with deep traditional Appalachian roots, with 80% of their catalog featuring original music. The group is a 3x Josie Awards Nominee for Bluegrass Group of the Year and winner of the 2024 Blue Highway Fest Rising Stars Challenge.

This series is presented through a partnership between the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area’s Blue Ridge Music Trails and the Jazz Foundation of America. The two organizations began working together in 2025 following Hurricane Helene, when the Jazz Foundation sought ways to support musicians in Western North Carolina.
