Join for a timely viewing of ‘Color Beyond the Lines,’ a documentary commemorating the integration of Henderson County’s public schools that recently won an award at the Tryon International Film Festival.
This compelling documentary highlights the Black community’s deep commitment to education and their courageous pursuit of equal opportunity.
The event will feature an introduction by filmmaker David Weintraub of the Center for Cultural Preservation, followed by the film screening and a facilitated discussion.
David Weintraub, executive director of the Center for Cultural Preservation, won the Tryon International Film Festival’s Human Rights and Dignity Award for this recent black history documentary: Color Beyond the Lines.
Admission is free, and donations are welcome.
