NC Writers Network & The Brandy Bar host “In the Company of Writers” series with authors Bruce Spang & Ginger Graziano

TWED 8/12/26 -7:00 pm – 9:00 pm- NC WRITERS NETWORK & THE BRANDY BAR HOST AUTHORS BRUCE SPANG & GINGER GRAZIANO AS NEXT IN THE SERIES
“IN THE COMPANY OF WRITERS.” This program offers a series of personal and conversational dialogues featuring guest writers/poets followed by an open mic forum. hese inspirational gatherings will elucidate and entertain those attending. The guest authors speak from 7-8 PM with an open mic from 8 -9 PM. Original music welcomes you, continues during intermission, and closes the evening. Sign-ups for the open mic sheet are posted at the entry.
Bruce Spang, former Poet Laureate of Portland, Maine, has published five books of poems, including Twist (2025) and All You’ll Derive: A Caregiver’s Journey (2024). The author of two novels, The River Crossed (2024) and The Deception of the Thrush, he has a new book out of letters, Dear Teen, Dear Poet: Coming of Age in Letters (2026), and a memoir, No Way Back: A Young Man’s Search for Home (2026). He teaches at the Great Smokies Writing Program. He lives in Candler, NC, with his husband, Myles Rightmire, and their two dogs.
Ginger Graziano, originally from New York City, lives in Asheville, where the mountains inspire peace and creativity. Her chapbook, What I Didn’t Give to Goodwill, was published this past March by Finishing Line Press. Her poems have appeared in The American Journal of Poetry, Kakalak, Sky Island Journal, The Great Smokies Review, and Front Porch Review among others. Her memoir, See, There He Is, is available through Amazon or ww.gingergraziano.com/writing.
