The Demeler Duo will perform selections from France and Latin America, offering a rich tapestry of classic chansons and modern art songs. Demeler is a café and salon music duo made up of husband and wife, Andy Jurik (guitar) and Rachel Hansbury (voice). Rachel Hansbury is a vocal artist and educator based in Asheville, NC. She has performed as a soloist with chamber music groups including the Asheville Choral Society, the Gateway Chamber Orchestra, and Music City. Guitarist, arranger, and educator Andy Jurik actively explores the intersection of classical and popular music. Andy directs the Asheville Classical Guitar Society and publishes arrangements for solo guitar with Fingerstyle Guitar Journal and Guitar Chamber Music Press.
Kelariz Keshavarz is the Assistant Professor of Flute at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill with a distinguished career marked by innovative interdisciplinary projects, a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and significant contributions to contemporary music. Her devotion to her craft manifests in her various roles as a solo performer, curator, adjudicator, composer, and pedagogue. She also brings to each a passion for fostering understanding and appreciation of music’s rich and diverse tapestry.
Brian Seaton maintains an active performing career as a recitalist, pedagogue, concerto soloist, chamber and symphony musician performing throughout the United States, Canada, and Asia.
Brian is a former oboe and chamber music instructor at Western Carolina University. In addition to his performing and teaching, Brian is the proprietor of Reedhouse, which specializes in the service, sales, and design of woodwind instruments, located in Hendersonville.Brian is sought after as one of the most respected experts on the oboe acoustics and mechanics in North America.
