The Art Place Gallery in the 7th Ave District of Hendersonville holds an opening reception for its monthly exhibits on the first Friday of every month. December’s reception features “Wonder,” an exhibition of work by sculptor Susan Smith Perry, a South Carolina-based artist. For this exhibition, Perry will transform bamboo and handmade paper into a kinetic sculptural installation. And, as with each month, artwork from local artists, representing a variety of media will be exhibited. The Art Place Gallery is a dynamic community art center managed by members of the Art League of Henderson County.
